Food as Medicine

Mission

Nutrition is central to a healthy lifestyle and well-being and RUSH’s Food as Medicine group is a student organization dedicated to upholding this concept. Our mission is to provide evidence-based, nutritional education for RUSH University students, to provide healthy food to those in need, and to empower the community with plant-based eating habits that will help prevent and manage chronic illness. Members will learn from guest speakers, participate in virtual cooking classes, get involved in the community, and receive newsletters with nutritional research, tips, and resources. Food as Medicine is a Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group (LMIG) associated with the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM).
