Substance Use Intervention Team (SUIT) Clinic

The Substance Use Intervention Team (SUIT) Clinic provides treatment services to patients struggling with addiction and substance use concerns. We service RUSH patients and accept community referrals. The clinic is a multidisciplinary team with a harm reduction approach to treatment and a goal of working together with our patients.

Comprehensive evaluation

Our team understands that everyone who is suffering with addiction has a unique set of circumstances. At SUIT Clinic, our multidisciplinary team made up of Medical Providers, Social Workers, and support staff collaborate with you to create a personalized treatment plan. We utilize a variety of approaches, customized to each patient, to help you meet your goals. Patients are encouraged to ask questions and voice concerns before, during, and after the diagnosis process. The more our team knows and understands you as a person, your symptoms, and your behaviors, the better we are able to personalize your evaluation and care going forward.

Innovative treatment options

Our SUIT Clinic Providers take a harm reduction approach to treatment with the primary goal of working together with our patients. Treatment plans may include individual psychotherapy, medication, or referrals to other inpatient and outpatient services.

Medication management

The SUIT Clinic Providers are thoughtful about medications and their role in a person’s treatment and recovery journey. Your SUIT Provider will discuss the various medication options available to you based on your diagnosis. If you are not interested in medication management, we can discuss different options for treatment.

While SUIT can assist with methadone initiation and titration for Opioid Use Disorder while a patient is admitted to the hospital, we do not offer methadone management in SUIT clinic.

Psychotherapy

SUIT Clinic offers individual psychotherapy by Licensed Clinical Social Workers during operating hours.

Case management

SUIT clinic Social Workers and Recovery Support Specialists provide case management services to connect patients to additional resources including support groups, intensive outpatient programs, residential treatment programs and self-help groups.

Learning opportunities

The SUIT Clinic is proud to offer learning opportunities for Medical Students, Residents, NP/PA Students, Addiction Medicine Fellows, and other healthcare Providers interested in Addiction Medicine.
