Commercialization

The Innovation and Technology Transfer (ITT) division within the Office of Research Affairs is responsible for managing intellectual property (IP) generated through Rush University research and helping to translate new technologies into commercial use.  

We encourage you to contact Rush University ITT early in your research activities to be aware of the options that might best leverage the commercial potential of your research. The ITT staff is trained to assist you with a wide range of questions and scenarios, including the following: 

  • Education about the commercialization process 
  • New technology evaluation 
  • Patentability determination 
  • Copyright facilitation 
  • Patent process facilitation
