Closing Out Your Award

Once the final reconciliation of all costs related to your funding award has been determined (IRB closed, payments and charges reconciled), a final invoice will be sent to the sponsor. Once final payment is received and applied, the study will be closed in all Rush systems (OnCore, EPIC, LINK, etc.).

After your project is complete, your department or Research Administrator can provide you with a final progress report and a final financial statement detailing how you spent your funds and listing any residual balances. The Fund Accounting department will help you prepare a final financial report and submit it to the funding agency. You also will need to provide information related to any patents or inventions created during the course of your research, along with other requested information about your study.
