The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at RUSH University Medical Center is based in Chicago at an urban, academic medical center which serves a diverse patient population from urban and suburban areas of Illinois. Our nurturing learning community is dedicated to training empathetic and inquisitive physicians who are not only well-prepared to enter specialty practice and subspecialty training, but who serve their patients and communities with a lifelong commitment to bettering health disparities and outcomes.
Our residents develop a strong foundation in OBGYN through core and subspecialty rotations. Evidence-based medicine is emphasized and residents learn to critique the medical literature and care plans to provide excellent care for all patients. Residents are integrated into patient safety and quality improvement initiatives and participate in research across all disciplines. Moreover, we provide training in advocacy and medical education.
At RUSH, we value diversity and strive to create an equitable and inclusive program that highlights each person’s unique background and skills. We welcome all applicants who are highly qualified and diverse. Our goal is to foster an environment that welcomes underrepresented in medicine and those who are diverse in terms of culture, class, race/ethnicity, gender, background, and work and life experiences.
Why Choose RUSH? We are dedicated to education and high-quality clinical care for all patients and strive to create an inclusive training environment. We actively seek feedback from our residents and work to create a learning environment that supports each person individually and creates a collective team of intelligent and compassionate Obstetrician-Gynecologists.
