The Rush Preclinical Catheterization Laboratory offers the latest technology and equipment for conducting research in a newly renovated facility, including the following:
Surgical equipment
- Fluoroscopy unit fully motorized with angiography capability and also includes special custom profiles for cardiac, orthopedic and spinal imaging. The C-ARM offers a fully digital image chain, with state-of-the-art digital image enhancement, as well as digital archival capability.
- Operating table fully motorized, which allows the physician researcher to perform procedures efficiently with less staff and great precision
- Steris lighting
- Hemodynamics monitoring system
- Gas-anesthesia machine station with vaporizer
- Heartstart XL biphasi defibrillator
- Power injector
- Echocardiography machine
- Ultrasound imaging machine
- Alaris infusion pump
- Bair Hugger
Supplemental technology
- Seven flat-panel LCD monitors
- In-suite cameras for recording, broadcasting, and audio/microphone capabilities for two-way secure communication between lab and an external audience
