During Black Maternal Health Week, NBC highlighted the Family Connects program providing home visits by a registered nurse to new moms and babies in the city.

Margaret Bavis, DNP, RN, was a guest on the American Medical Association podcast "Steps Forward," discussing how one volunteer-based center assesses and optimizes social determinants of health to improve patient care.

With the leadership of the Office of Faculty Practice, RUSH is one of four hospitals participating in Chicago's pilot of the Family Connects program, an in-home nurse service for families with newborns.

Since April 2020, Office of Faculty Practice nurses have provided more than 28,525 hours of care at A Safe Haven to people experiencing homelessness.
