Managing the Menu

Overview

The Rush University website has multiple menus that enable visitors to navigate the site and locate information.

Most of these menus have been developed according to user research and UX principles, and their content stays the same on every page of the site. These menus cannot be edited by content editors. If you believe a change to one of these menus is necessary, you can contact the website administrator, who will work with you to consider the strategic goals your request would accomplish and decide whether to proceed.

Sidebar menu

On most pages of the website, a menu appears that enables visitors to navigate between pages within that content section.

On desktop and laptop devices, this menu appears in a column at the left side of the page, so it is referred to as the sidebar menu.

Because the sidebar menu is contextual, with contents tailored specifically to a program or website section, there is some flexibility to adjust what appears. If you believe that changes are needed to the sidebar menu on your program's pages, please reach out to the website administrator for support. We'll have a conversation about how the menu can best serve your website visitors' needs.
