Financial aid
We provide detailed information on how to apply for financial assistance, including grants and loans, once students are accepted into RUSH Medical College. Financial aid is awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need, which is the cost of education less student and family resources. The difference, or financial need, is met with both grant and loan assistance.
Since there is a greater amount of loan assistance than grant aid, more loan assistance is built into the financial aid package. Any grant aid that is awarded is based on parent information, regardless of whether the student is independent, married or single. Incoming medical students who will be at least 30 years of age by the start date of their program are not required to submit parent information in order to receive full consideration for RUSH's need-based discretionary aid.
