The Alexander Doolas, MD Society has been established for all graduates of the RUSH University General Surgery Residency program as a way to connect to their surgical training roots as well as their mentors, colleague and friends. The society is named in honor of Doolas who has served as a wonderful mentor and role model to our faculty and residents.

Doolas completed medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and his general surgery residency at RUSH University Medical Center. He has clinical expertise in biliary surgery, cryotherapy, endocrine surgery, esophagectomy, gastrointestinal surgery, hiatal hernia, inguinal hernia, liver surgery, pancreatectomy, radiofrequency ablation and splenectomy. Additionally, he is a professor at RUSH University and he is fluent in Greek.

Please consider a tax deductible donation to the Doolas Society so we can establish an endowed fund for surgical education and training. The link to donate is rushgiving.com/doolas.
