Approximately $100,000 with full benefits and additional moonlighting opportunities available.

Number of Clinical Hours
Eight shifts per month in the RUSH Emergency Department
Other Duties
- Dedicated, one-on-one scanning sessions with ultrasound faculty
- Local lectures with targeted feedback and mentorship on slide design and public speaking from national lecturers.
- Ultrasound workshop instructors
- Local, regional, national, and international teaching opportunities
- Teaching sessions with medical students and resident physicians
- Training in administration and workflow solutions
- Weekly journal clubs
- Training in quality improvement and credentialing
- Involvement in at least one research project with opportunities for greater involvement and mentorship from experienced researchers

Educational Experience
Our educational program is based on ACEP's Emergency Ultrasound Guidelines as well as ACEP's Policy on Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship training. This includes clinical ultrasound experiences in all primary and advanced applications in multiple environments. Fellows complete >1,000 quality-reviewed Emergency Ultrasound examinations, learning directly from fellowship directors at the bedside, image review sessions, journal clubs, research meetings, and national educational conferences.
Image Review
Quality assurance is ongoing with dedicated weekly, one-on-one sessions with ultrasound faculty. All exam are reviewed and fellows learn the skills required to become skilled reviewers upon graduation. Fellows will also learn how to create and maintain quality assurance systems.

Competitive applicants are encouraged to apply in July and August for an interview in September or October. Fellows will be selected in accordance with EUS Fellowship dates and guidelines.
