About the Department of Dermatology
RUSH Dermatology is committed to excellence in patient care, education, and furthering the understanding of skin disease through clinical and basic research. Our residents and students learn from committed, distinguished faculty with a wide range of clinical expertise, academic interests, and research pursuits.
Part of a top-tier academic medical center, RUSH Dermatology treats patients with diverse clinical histories and socioeconomic backgrounds, giving our students and residents ample learning opportunities. We treat an exceptional of variety of skin conditions — both common and rare. Highlights include our programs in autoimmune bullous disease, connective tissue disease, cosmetic dermatology, cutaneous lymphoma, dermatopathology, hair loss, hidradenitis, inpatient dermatology, lasers, oncodermatology, Mohs and dermatological surgery, pigmentary disorders, and vasculitis.
Many of our faculty are also involved in important research aimed at understanding the mechanisms of skin diseases and how to treat them.
