Rush Research Portal

The Rush Research Portal manages all aspects of the research submission and management process. All new studies must be submitted electronically through the portal.

Access Rush Research Portal

One of the many benefits of the portal is it’s accessibility via the Internet, allowing a streamlined approach to the submission, review and approval of research projects, even if the necessary people are not physically here at Rush. The system notifies research administrators, principal investigators, study staff and department approvers as the project advances through the system. This allows complete transparency and oversight of the review process.

The portal has the following components:

  • Coverage Analysis
  • Grants
  • Contracts
  • Institutional Review Board
  • External Internal Review Board
  • Annual/Protocol Specific Conflict of Interest Disclosure
  • Subaward
  • Institutional Biosafety Committee
  • Radiation Safety
  • Research Sync

This allows an even more efficient process linking all study aspects in a trials management system. The Master Project module prepopulates information into all the other modules. This module is the method to access all other modules throughout the life of the study.

You will need to attend training to obtain a portal login ID. Training is available every Friday in the lower level of the Annex building at 10 a.m. If you cannot attend a session on Friday, we will work with you to accommodate your schedule as best we can.

Additionally, you are required to complete mandatory training prior to having your study reviewed by the IRB.

If you have questions on the portal or would like to check the status of your mandatory training, email rrp@rush.edu, or call (312) 942-5097.
