Sandra Mata, MS, is the Grant Program Manager with the administrative team of the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center. She is responsible for the development and implementation of various research administration procedures and the pre-award and post-award management of a large grant portfolio, including numerous subcontracts with investigators across the US and foreign institutions. She began at Rush University Medical Center in the Department of Preventive Medicine in 1998. She has also worked in research administration for the Rush Research Clinical Trials Administration office and the Rush Research Mentoring Program before joining the RADC in 2013 as a grants specialist. While working at Rush, Sandra earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminology, law and justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master of Science degree in research administration from Rush University.
