The group’s central interest is in common chronic diseases of older people especially Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and loss of cognitive function in older age. We focus on these problems as they occur in the general population rather than in any special subgroup.
Our Work
Projects include analysis of data from the Chicago Health and Aging Project (CHAP), the genetic architecture of AD in African Americans, blood pressure and risk of death and AD, and trends in the occurrence of AD. All of our work is highly collaborative, involving both other Rush investigators and investigators at other institutions.
