Abstract

This project addresses the need to increase preceptor support at clinical training sites, create shared learning opportunities, and develop an informed and organized NP curriculum that addresses the competencies needed to work in nurse-led integrated care delivery models and provide care that addresses health inequities. This project also supports two established academic practice partnerships with FQHCs and one CON-led faculty practice partnership, provides traineeship support for a select group of primary care nurse practitioner students (adult-gero, family, pediatrics, psych mental health), and implements educational initiatives that build and normalize the integrated care approach to primary care. The academic practice partnerships will implement processes aimed at preceptor development and resource-sharing opportunities for preceptors, faculty, and students in line with the HRSA priority of mental health and substance use disorder care.   All training sites will support student learning in nurse-led models of integrated care and inter-professional behavioral health.
