The RUSH Otolaryngology Residency offers a leadership track which is completed during the five-year residency program. This track is ideal for applicants who would like to prepare for a career engaged in health systems management. The program is specifically designed for full time clinicians at the more senior level of training. The program is integrated into the last 2 years of training without an extension of time or interruption of the training experience.
- Residents will complete the RUSH Master of Science in Health Systems Management (HSM) degree program at RUSH during the last two years of training. Residents will complete the classroom didactics in a series of 1-week protected blocks of time. Track and research time during the 4th year of training in addition to elective time during the 5th year is utilized to complete the requirements.
- Tuition for this program is fully funded by RUSH and the Department of Otolaryngology.
- Residents will be mentored by the Otolaryngology Program Director.
How to Apply
- Candidates will decide during the end of the PG3 year if they would like to apply to the program.
- Candidates will submit a one-page personal statement to the Program Director by November 1st describing their interest in the track and motivations for participating.
- The program director will decide whether to accept the candidate into the research track by January 1st.
- The candidate must submit an application to the program through the RUSH University Graduate College by February 15th or the applicable priority application deadline.
