Overview
- The advanced endoscopy fellowship (AEF) position has responsibilities of inpatient and outpatient care at RUSH University Medical Center (RUMC) and all institutions affiliated with University Gastroenterologists.
- This one year AEF program at RUSH Center for Interventional and Therapeutic Endoscopy (CITE) offers advanced training in interventional endoscopic procedures and the management of complex pancreatobiliary disease.
- During this training, the fellow will be a clinical instructor and will supervise and teach medical students, residents and general gastroenterology fellows.

- Interventional EUS
- ERCP
- Drainage of pancreatic fluid collections
- Endoscopic mucosal resection
- Radiofrequency ablation
- Luminal stent placement
- Endoscopic suturing
- Single-balloon enteroscopy
- Volumetric laser endomicroscopy (VLE)
Research
Research is strongly encouraged and supported, and candidates with an interest in an academic career in clinical research are preferred. The advanced fellow will be able to participate in ongoing clinical research within the division and also in collaboration with pathology, surgery and oncology departments.
