Prerequisites
This is an ACGME-accredited training program for individuals who have successfully completed a four-year psychiatry residency program in the United States or Canada. At the current time, the complement for the fellowship is one position. Therefore, we are unable to accept off-cycle applications.
Application
Timeline for July 1, 2025 fellowship start date:
- October 16, 2024 at 12pm: Match opens
- November 6, 2024 at 12pm: Ranking opens
- December 18, 2024 at 9pm: Rank Order List Certification deadline
- January 8, 2025 at 12pm: Match Day
We will be utilizing the ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service) and NRMP (National Residency Matching Program) to recruit for the fellowship class starting on July 1, 2026. ERAS will open in July 2025 for the next match cycle.

The Rush Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship Program participates in the National Resident Matching Program® (NRMP®) through the Specialties Matching Service® (SMS®), as do most USA – ACGME approved CL fellowship programs.

Accreditation
The program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Certification
After successfully completing the program, you are eligible to take the subspecialty certification examination offered by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
