ID/Epidemiology Intelligence Service (EIS) Joint Fellowship
RUSH was selected as a pilot site for the a new joint ID/EIS Fellowship Training Program!
Funded by CDC, the joint ID/EIS fellowship pilot program seeks to develop future public health leaders through a new training structure, allowing ID physicians to expand their training in public and global health. 11 programs nationwide were chosen for this select opportunity, including CCH/RUMC. As one of eight epidemiologic centers in the country, RUSH has worked closely with CDPH, IDPH as well as CDC, making it a program uniquely equipped for the formation of future ID/Epidemiologists.
The program begins with a two-year ID fellowship, continued by a two-year EIS program. During the EIS program, fellows will directly address public health threats, working either in field locations at state and local public health departments or at the CDC headquarters in Atlanta.
