Magnetic resonance body imaging
In our program you'll learn the most advanced imaging techniques, using state-of-the-art technology including two 3T Siemens scanners and four 1.5T Siemens/GE scanners.
Academics focus on both physical theory and clinical practice. Examinations include cardiac, hepatobiliary, gynecologic, enterography, defecography, genitourinary, angiogram/venogram, 3T prostate (Dynacad software) and obstetric MR imaging, including fetal MRI.
Musculoskeletal radiology
Midwest Orthopaedics is Rush’s nationally recognized orthopaedics group. Located in its own building on the Rush campus, Midwest Orthopaedics is highly regarded in many subspecialties, particularly orthopaedic oncology, sports medicine, arthroplasty and arthoplasty revision.
You'll interpret MRI and CT studies for Midwest Orthopaedics, with access to two 1.5T scanners and a dedicated CT scanner. You'll also participate in arthograms and ultrasound-guided steroid injections and in bimonthly, multi-disciplinary sarcoma conferences.
Ultrasonography
You'll participate in vascular, OB and transplant examinations, gaining proficiency in an array of ultrasound-guided procedures using the most advanced technology available.
Inpatient and outpatient facilities are equipped with a mix of 18 Siemens and GE ultrasound machines. The department is fully integrated with GE PACS and also has separate, dedicated ultrasound PACS for real-time digital clip storage and display capabilities. Rush is a beta-testing site for manufacturers’ most innovative technology.
