Application Process
Thank you for your interest in our program! We will begin accepting applications from September to November through the ERAS. The application deadline and submission of the following is November 30, 2024.
Submit your application through the Electronic Residency Application Service and include the following:
- Dean’s letter and medical school transcripts
- Three (3) letters of recommendation
- U.S. Medical Licensing Examination transcripts
- Curriculum vitae
- Personal statement
- It is strongly recommended to include the following, clearly labeled, as an addendum to your Personal Statement on ERAS as part of your application to our program. The RUSH-Esperanza Family Medicine Residency Program is a Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education program that serves an underserved population within an urban setting. Why do you feel motivated to train as a family medicine physician in a teaching health center in an urban underserved community?
- ECFMG Certificate (if applicable)
Applicants must be graduates of a U.S., Canadian or U.S. citizen with ECFMG accredited medical school. Must have graduated within four years from an approved medical school and be eligible for licensure to practice medicine in Illinois.
All applications will be reviewed holistically.
