Reunion Weekend 2022 Schedule
Friday, Oct. 21, 2022
5- 7 p.m.: RUSH Medical College Reunion Welcome Receptions (University Club of Chicago): All RUSH Medical College milestone classes are encouraged to attend Reunion class-specific parties for an evening of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022
9- 10 a.m.: Student-led Campus Tours: More details will be shared shortly. Check back soon.
10:30- 11:45 a.m.: All Alumni Welcome Coffee: Looking Back: Celebrating 50 Years of RUSH University Panel (Room 500 Lounge)
- Moderator: Larry Goodman, MD, Interim RUSH University president, with panelists to be announced soon.
Noon-1 p.m.: All Alumni Social Luncheon (Room 500 Main Dining Room): Socialize over lunch and reconnect with faculty, alumni and friends between learning sessions.
1:15- 2:15 p.m.: All Alumni Program: Looking Forward: RUSH CEO Update from Dr. Omar Lateef, president and CEO of RUSH University System for Health and RUSH University Medical Center (Room 500 Lounge): Dr. Lateef will share his journey to RUSH University Medical Center and his vision for the future of health care and RUSH.
2:30- 4 p.m.: RUSH Medical College Breakout
- RUSH Medical College Updates and Rush Medical College Alumni Association Annual Meeting: Keynote: Cynthia Brincat, MD, PhD, Interim Dean, RUSH Medical College, will share updates and explain how the college is preparing the next generation of physicians for success.
- Join us in honoring the recipients of the Distinguished Alumni Awards and the Campbell Alumni Service Award.
- Distinguished Alumni Award in Leadership, Service, or Innovation – Larry J. Goodman, MD
- Distinguished Alumni Award in Clinical Excellence – John Segreti, MD
- Distinguished Alumni Award in Medical Research and Education – Jamie H. Von Roenn, MD, FASCO
- Campbell Alumni Service Award – Philip Bonomi, MD
4- 6 p.m.: 50th Anniversary All RUSH Celebratory Reception (Malcolm X College, Conference Halls B and C): All RUSH alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends are invited to the culminating event of the weekend, featuring highlights from the RUSH University archives, RUSH student poster presentations, signature cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and dancing — all to celebrate this 50th-year milestone with the RUSH community.
7 p.m.: RUSH All Alumni Weekend Group Outing with the Bulls (United Center): Cheer with us this season at the United Center! Join Rush Alumni for a legendary group outing with the Chicago Bulls. Share the excitement of Bulls basketball and the NBA’s leading entertainment experience as the team takes on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Get your tickets now.
