At Rush, we strive to be a learning community where students of all backgrounds feel welcomed and supported, and have the opportunity to share their own experiences.
Join us! Rush University welcomes international student applicants.
To become a F-1 international student at Rush University, you must first be admitted into an academic program. You are an international student applicant if you need a F-1 visa to study at Rush and reside in the United States. F-1 students are eligible to attend a Rush program if they will be studying full-time (as defined by the university) and as long as their courseload each term aligns with the Student and Exchange Visitor Program's limits on online classes for F-1 students. International students cannot attend all-online programs, and are generally limited to 1 online class per term/semester towards the full course of study.
If you are accepted by the program you have applied to, be sure to email
International_Students@rush.edu for access to the international student application. Make sure to reach out to International Student Services whether you are a new
or transfer F-1 student.
Are you a student currently abroad preparing to study in the United States? The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) offers
guidance on your rights, responsibilities, and how to avoid problems if you are considering utilizing a recruiter, broker, or agent.
