  • Yi Chen, PhD, is a scientist specializing in health policy at the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center (RADC) and Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush University Medical Center. Her research focuses on the health and healthcare of older adults with dementia and cognitive impairment. She has conducted studies on risk factors for dementia, population measures of dementia, as well as racial/ethnic disparities in dementia diagnosis and care. She has extensive experience in using Medicare claims and its linkage to survey/cohort data to understand health and related behaviors across the continuum of cognitive decline. Chen received her PhD in Public Policy and Management from the University of Southern California before joining RADC as a postdoctoral fellow in 2022.
