  • Patricia Boyle, PhD, is a professor of behavioral sciences and neuropsychologist with the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center in Chicago, IL. Boyle received her PhD from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University in Providence, RI. Her research focuses on the prevention of cognitive and functional decline in old age. Her studies examine age-related changes in cognition, financial and health decision making, and psychological well-being, with an emphasis on factors that protect against functional decline. Boyle’s research has been continuously funded by the National Institute on Aging for two decades and she has published extensively, with more than 190 peer-reviewed publications. Boyle also leads Research Education at the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center and serves on national advisory committees on aging and Alzheimer’s disease.
