  • Andrea R. Zammit, PhD, is a neuropsychologist at the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Her work primarily focuses on individual differences in cognitive aging and cognitive epidemiology. Zammit received her MSc in cognitive neuropsychology and her PhD in psychology from the University of Edinburgh. She completed her post-doctoral research fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Her current NIA-NIH K01 Scientist Development Award focuses on using psychometric methods to empirically characterize preclinical profiles of AD and related dementias (ADRD). Zammit is particularly interested in identifying sensitive cognitive and non-cognitive phenotypes associated with preclinical ADRD. She has also worked with international associations, including the Integrative Analysis of Longitudinal Studies on Aging (IALSA) and the Advanced Psychometrics Methods in Cognitive Aging Research, to integrate and harmonize large-scale data to ease comparability and replicability of research.
