Alexandre d’Audiffret, MD, joined the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery in August as the chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery, after 14 years at West Virginia University where he was the program director for the vascular fellowship program. d’Audiffret is formally trained in both open and endovascular interventions, having spent two years in professor Jean-Pierre Becquemin’s service at the CHU Henri-Mondor / University of Paris Est after completing his formal vascular fellowship at SUNY Buffalo with Dr. John Ricotta. While his main interests are re-operative vascular surgery and the management of infected graft, he is fully competent in all endovascular interventions, including fenestrated aortic endografts and percutaneous carotid interventions.
