Hematology-Oncology Fellowship

The hematology-oncology fellowship is a three-year, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-accredited combined program providing outstanding clinical training in all areas of hematology, medical oncology and stem cell therapy. The program develops well-rounded academic and clinic-based hematologists and oncologists who are well-prepared for American Board of Internal Medicine certification in both specialties.

You'll train in a collegial atmosphere that fosters peer support and intellectual growth, guided by internationally recognized and dynamic clinician-educators. RUSH University Medical Center, a nationally renowned tertiary referral center, draws a diverse patient population from the city, suburbs and Midwest region, exposing you to a broad array of conditions and patients.

RUSH’s multidisciplinary approach to patient care is supplemented by interdisciplinary tumor boards. These boards, attended by faculty specialists from other departments, discuss cases in depth and include review of pathologic and radiologic data.

How to apply

We fill three positions each year, and will grow to nine fellows in the program at a time. Applications are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service. We sponsor J-1 and H1-B visas.

Interviews will take place for selected candidates in late September of 2023.
