Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Laboratory Management

Introduction

Our Master of Science in Clinical Laboratory Management program is for practicing medical laboratory scientists seeking a formal education in a convenient format.

Our curriculum emphasizes the following topics:

Compliance and regulatory issues Financial management Health care informatics Human resource management Legal issues in health care Managerial decision-making and process improvement Management principles and quality management Organizational structure and management functions

You can complete the program with or without completing coursework in Rush’s Specialist in Blood Bank Technology Certificate program.

You are eligible to take the Diplomate in Laboratory Management exam (American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification) when you meet the following:

  • Complete the Master of Science in Clinical Laboratory Management program
  • Have two years of full-time acceptable experience in clinical laboratory supervision or management within the last 10 years
